Video poker is a casino game based on 5 card draw poker. The player pays the required amount of credits and presses the deal button. Five cards are dealt out and the player chooses to keep or discard the cards. Discarded cards are replaced with new cards. The player is then paid out according to the hand made and the pay out tables advertised on the machine.

Each game is based on usage of only one deck of cards. The first 5 cards are randomly generated from the available 52 cards. Any replacement cards are generated by a random selection from the remaining 47 possible cards.
