Caribbean Poker is a casino card game similar to five card stud poker. Each player must pay an ante to participate. Each player and the dealer will receive 5 cards, face down. Once the dealer has turned over one of his cards, the players can look at their hands to decide whether to play or fold. If they fold, the ante is taken by the house and if they want to play, they must place a bet.
The dealer’s hand must contain an Ace or King for the bets to be valid. If the dealer does not have either card, the players still in the game receive even money on their ante bet. If the dealer does have an Ace or King, then the best hand between each player and the dealer wins. If the player wins, he gets even money on the ante and wins on his bet according to the hand that he holds – a royal flush pays 100:1 while one pair or less only pays 1:1.
